Lost City is one of two world-class courses at the Sun City resort.  he well-known Sun City resort is adjacent to the fourth largest game park in South Africa, Pilanesberg National Park. The course might be overshadowed by the neighbouring Gary Player Country Club layout, but it is still a great golf course on its own.

Opening in 1993, the Lost City Country Club golf course, was also designed by Gary Player’s company. With its undulating and rocky terrain, this 18-hole desert-style golf course is surrounded by spectacular views across the bushveld. Wide fairways and a series of water hazards separate the ninth from the finishing hole.

The fairways are generally open but have a few well-placed bunkers to catch the wayward shot. Water comes into play on several holes. The most notably water hazard would be on the par threes at the 3^rd and 15^th holes. You can also find a multi-tiered water feature on the 9^th and 18^th with the backdrop of the clubhouse.

The par-five 9^th features an island green and is a fun hole if long enough from the tee to be tempted to have a go at the green in two.

The signature hole is the 13^th par 3, as this is the most fearsome water hazard, with live 2-metre long resident crocodiles lounging around in their enclosure. This makes it one of the most unusual, exciting, and interesting golf courses South Africa offers. For the unlucky golfer that goes into the enclosure, we do not recommend that you play it as it lies! Rather tee up and try again!
