V&A Waterfront

The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront is known by the locals at V&A Waterfront and has a rich history. It was so named when Prince Alfred, the son of Queen Victoria, visited the Cape Colony Harbour in 1860 as a Royal Navy Midshipman on the HMS Euryalus. The first basin of the new Navy Yard was named after Prince Alfred and his mother, Victoria. The V&A is also known for shopping from ultimate luxury items to the typical Cape Town curios. The restaurants have fantastic views of the harbour, where you can sit and drink local wines or a cocktail while having some of the freshest fish dishes you can find.
