St. Blaize Trail

The Garden Route is home to the breath-taking vistas offered by the St. Blaize hiking trail, a popular 13.5 km (6 hours) hike that follows the thirty-meter contour along the cliffs westwards from the Cape St. Blaize Lighthouse. This trail begins at the cave just below the St. Blaize Lighthouse and extends for 13.5 kilometres until hikers reach Dana Bay (or vice versa). Along the trail, the sea views are most striking, with mile after pristine mile showcasing, the glitter of sunlight on the shimmering sea surface. Dolphins frequently perform for hikers, and birdwatchers are well rewarded.
